Children, Youth and Family Services CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES, with offices at 260 Beckley Hill Road in Barre, offers a number of services to assist parents and children. Intensive Family-Based Services offer time-limited, family focused, in-home treatment that may include case management, counseling, parent education, daily living skills instruction, advocacy, and coordination with schools and other community-based services. Children’s Upstream Services/ Success by Six provides outreach based mental health services and therapeutic childcare to young children and their families as well as consultation and education to childcare providers and other area agencies. Higher Ground and Foster Care Support Services provide specialized case management, treatment, and out-of-home care focused on providing individualized services for children and youth experiencing a serious emotional disturbance. J.O.B.S. (Jump on Board for Success)/ Transition Services are designed to assist youth to prepare for independent living, college and other post high school pursuits. Home/School Coordinators provide school based outreach services to families, interagency service coordination and direct services to children and youth experiencing a serious emotional disturbance and their families. Achieving Collaborative Educational Success (ACES) and Tapas are programs that offer individualized services to assist children and youth to remain in their community schools. Changing Our Ideas Concerning Education (Ch.O.I.C.E.) is a licensed independent middle/high school serving youth experiencing a serious emotional disturbance. Central Vermont Collaborative for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders CVCCASD provides specialized intensive treatment for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder. Services are provided in the home, school and community. Respite Care services are designed to give time-limited, planned, scheduled breaks to families caring for a child or youth experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, a serious emotional disturbance.
